Hospitality and family tradition in Corvara

Take a look back at our history and discover what makes our Residence in Alta Badia so very special.

Residence Ciasa Morin boasts a long and rich history, steeped in tradition. Built in 1890, for many years the building was used as a mill where bread was baked daily for the village community. The mill was in operation until 1945, and the name "Morin", the Ladin word for mill, is a reminder of its original purpose.
Today, our family, now in its fourth generation, lovingly runs the establishment. The third generation, my parents, took over the house more than 27 years ago and laid the foundations for what it has become today. In 1999, the building was extensively renovated and transformed into a modern holiday home featuring comfortable apartments.
After several years in Munich, my family - my Polish wife Agnes, our children Alan and Hannah, and I - returned to our home village to carry on this legacy. We made the heartfelt decision to return so that our children could grow up immersed in the unique Ladin culture and the breathtaking nature of the Dolomites. We cherish the tranquillity, the vastness of the landscape and the values that define this beautiful region.
It is our pleasure to offer our guests not just accommodation, but a genuine piece of our home and culture.
